Hi and welcome! I’m Michelle, the older “Tot Tails Twin”… by 2 whole minutes! Truth be told, it may as well be 2 years because Marsha will always be my baby sister.
I’m also the artist, extrovert and tomboy of our li’l duo. I am very fortunate to have my sister as my partner in this here positivity project. Without her encouragement, hard work and support, the Tot Tails would have just been “a neat little idea”.
I am also a mom and have been blessed with 2 children – a son who is freakishly clever and a daughter who is a little powerhouse. They are my little muses and the reason Tot Tails and their message have become so important for me to share. Every day, they make me realize just how vital it is to instill positive thinking, resiliency and self-love early.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realize, it wasn’t so much about gaining more knowledge, but more so about letting go of and shedding thoughts and beliefs from my past, especially my childhood, that did not serve me and my purpose in life. Thoughts that bred limitations, insecurity and anxiety instead of resiliency, self-love and courage.
The Tot Tails are my way of sharing messages I wish I had been exposed to and heard more of while I was growing up. With the alarming and ever-increasing numbers of childhood depression and anxiety diagnoses and even suicide amongst young children today, I believe it is never too early to start instilling optimism and equipping our children with a growth mindset.
It would be remiss of me not to mention my beyond supportive husband! He encouraged me to leave the confines of my comfortable, well paying, government job to pursue my dreams of spreading positivity. I’ve known him since kindergarten and admitted my schoolgirl crush many years after our high school graduation… through social media no less! Yes, we are a Facebook reunion love story and I couldn’t be more thankful for him.
Speaking of being thankful, I truly appreciate you taking the time to stop by and get to know me a bit. I hope you find value in what we are trying to do with the Tot Tails and would love to hear your thoughts and welcome any feedback you might have. Thanks so much!
